Where is Casa Buddha Haus located?

Located on the shores of one of the largest coral reefs in the world, and just 25 minutes drive south from Cancun International Airport you will find a small town "a hidden jewel" called Puerto Morelos (Quintana Roo, Mexico).

Buddha Haus is located in

Joaquín Zetina Gasca, better known as the "Colonia" area, which is a neighborhood of Puerto Morelos. In Colonia you can still find authentic Mexican roots, welcoming locals, and experience a warm “community feel”.

Why is this location special?

Puerto Morelos is an ancient fishing port, surrounded by mangroves, Mayan jungle, countless Cenotes, and of course, the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Unlike some of the more bustling tourist hubs along the Riviera Maya, Puerto Morelos maintains at least a sense of authenticity, community and eco-consciousness.

Just 25 minutes away from Cancun International Airport and 30 minutes north of Playa del Carmen by car.

You do not need a car as you can reach the beach, shops, restaurants easily on foot, bicycle or use the affordable local bus "colectivo".

We love our beaches!

The beaches are not just great for beach walks but the absence of big waves ensures a safe and tranquil swimming & snorkeling experience, making it the perfect destination for families with children. You can find shade under palm trees (in specific areas) or rent beach chairs/ umbrellas for a whole day at different beach bars. Snorkeling tours can be booked through different providers at and around the beach.

We have great cafe's, restaurants & supermarkets on the beach side but also in Colonia!

Puerto Morelos isn't just great for couples or groups—it's equally, if not more, inviting for solo travelers! With low crime rates and a strong emphasis on public safety, you can wander the streets and beaches with a sense of ease, knowing that your well-being is paramount.

Equipped with high-speed internet in both apartments and on the rooftop , multiple workstations, and ample natural light, it provides an ideal environment for productivity.

Our neighborhood has easy access to cafes and leisure activities, ensuring a balanced lifestyle. Whether you need a short-term base or a long-term residence, Buddha Haus caters to many professional and personal needs, making it a great choice for digital nomads.

We also work with a team of healers, teachers, massage therapists skilled professionals who are dedicated to providing personalized care and service to our guests.

How are our apartments?

You can choose between two rental options:

Apt 1: spacious two-bedroom , 1 bathroom on the ground floor

Apt 2: cozy one-bedroom, 1 bathroom on the 1st floor (considered 2nd floor in the USA)

Convinient entrance:

Check yourself in easily with an electronic number code and find your apartment key in the lock box next to your entrance door (on each floor).

Each sleeping room within our accommodation is equipped with:

Queen-sized beds
Wall closets
Ceiling fans and air conditioning with remote controls
Safety deposit boxes to store your valuables
Bedding and towels

Our bathrooms featuring pressurized water lines for consistently good water pressure.

In our commitment to sustainability and your well-being, all kitchens are equipped with reverse osmosis filters*, ensuring access to safe and pure drinking water throughout your stay. Say goodbye to single-use plastic bottles and embrace eco-conscious living by simply refilling your reusable bottle from the filtered tap.

*Reverse osmosis filters remove contaminants, they effectively eliminate impurities such as lead, chlorine, and dissolved solids. (Open the filter tap and let the water run first for 30 seconds till it's room temperature)

Additionally each apartment offers the luxury of its own outdoor nook (small seating area), providing a private space to eat or work outdoors.

For your convenience, our house is equipped with a washing machine and dryer, available for use once a week per apartment. Should you require additional laundry services or prefer not to handle your own laundry, you'll find two conveniently located laundromats within a short walking distance:

Guests are invited to experience our communal roof terrace. The centerpiece of the terrace is our inviting palapa, a tranquil retreat ideal for workouts, massages, or simply unwinding in the hammock and soaking in the serene ambiance.

Stay seamlessly connected during your stay at Casa BUDDHA HAUS with high-speed internet available throughout the property. Whether you are a digital nomad or streaming your favorite shows, you can count on our reliable internet on all floors.

We prioritize the protection of our mattresses and sofas, recognizing that perspiration is a natural occurrence. That's why we provide covers for these furnishings, allowing for easy washing and ensuring a clean and hygienic living environment for our guests. By taking this proactive approach, we aim to maintain the quality and longevity of our furniture.

Buddha Haus has 4 x security cameras in the front/back of the house, providing an extra layer of protection for our guests. The motion detection feature of the cameras ensures comprehensive surveillance day and night.

While we understand the special bond between pet owners and their furry companions, we regret to inform you that our apartments are not pet-friendly.

Conveniently located close to an international airport, close to the sea, surrounded by jungle we found the perfect spot in Puerto Morelos.

When we take the time to slow down then we create space for meditation, feeling, transformation and healing.

We are located in a quiet one-way street/ opposite our house are no neighbors but a green area. The neighbors are multicultural: Locals/Mexicans from Mexico City and Expats. Please be aware that we are not located in a gated community. The area is well-located, offering convenient access to a variety of amenities, services, and transportation options. Situated in a safe neighborhood our house is equipped with security cameras, ensuring constant monitoring and providing an additional layer of protection.
