Caring for Your Back with Awareness

My passion for back care began from my own story

After a serious back injury and a long recovery that I actively guided myself through, I became deeply committed to helping others navigate similar challenges.

I’m not a doctor — and back pain is rarely the result of just one thing.
It can come from posture habits, muscular imbalances, overuse, accidents or even emotional tension that the body quietly holds.
It’s complex, deeply personal, and never “one-size-fits-all.”

Listening to the Body’s Signals

My first rule of thumb: don’t ignore recurring discomfort or pain.
Even if it comes and goes, it’s a message from your body — a gentle request for attention.

If you’ve been in pain for more than two weeks without improvement, please see a doctor and get proper imaging done.
Understanding what’s really happening in your spine gives you the clarity and safety you need to move forward wisely.

Another important sign to notice is imbalance — when one side of your body feels often or always tighter, weaker, or more restricted than the other.
You might notice it in single-leg exercises or balance positions.
Training both sides equally when one side is struggling can actually deepen the imbalance over time.

Instead, awareness is key.
When you bring patient attention to your weaker or tighter side, the body begins to restore its own symmetry — slowly, safely, and naturally.

How I Can Support You

If you already know what’s going on in your back — whether it’s a disc bulge, hernia, scoliosis, or general weakness — and you’ve finished physical therapy but don’t know how to move forward safely, I can help you take the next steps with confidence.

Together, we’ll observe how your body moves in daily life — how you sit, walk, bend, and  breathe.
With small adjustments, consistent awareness, and carefully chosen exercises, we’ll build a personal program that supports your spine and strengthens your foundation.

My goal isn’t to fix you — it’s to help you understand your body’s language.
When you know how to listen, you can move, sit, and rest in ways that create less strain and more ease.

What You’ll Discover

In our sessions, you’ll begin to notice:
• subtle habits that may be contributing to your discomfort
• how to stabilize your base and reduce reinjury risk
• the difference between effort and alignment
• small, mindful corrections or modifications that can make a big difference in daily comfort

These insights can turn even ordinary moments — how you get out of bed, stand in line, or reach for something — into opportunities for balance and healing.

Moving Forward

I can’t control what happens outside our sessions.
But I can give you tools and awareness that last far beyond them.

Together, we can find a way of moving that feels supportive rather than stressful —
a way of being in your body that feels like home again.

If you’re ready to reconnect with your back, your breath, and your sense of balance, I’d love to guide you.
