Becoming more aware of our body will help you navigate life better! Movement with a focus on the breath and on proper physical alignment helps to heal the body and the mind, allowing us to feel present on and off the yoga mat.
With detailed directions and guidance, I help students to connect to their bodies. In doing so, they get to know themselves better, learn how to make healthier choices, and become more sensitive to their bodies' needs.
In order to navigate life with clarity and balance, it is important to find ways to quiet our minds. A wonderful and easy way to do so is to meditate regularly.
There are many wonderful passive meditation techniques, but there are also active methods for those of us who need to move around before we can appreciate stillness. I introduce students to active and passive meditation practices, and I clear up misconceptions so that nobody feels discouraged if their mind is "not silent enough" or if they find sitting in lotus pose uncomfortable. I provide a clear pathway so students can have an easier time starting and maintaining a regular meditation practice on their own.
Laughter is the best medicine because when we laugh, we blow our mind away.
Have you ever noticed that when you laugh, you don't think? While laughing, your mind is clear, soothing your stress levels and reducing anxiety! Laughter elevates our energy level, our energetic frequency, our mood in a matter of seconds.
Each of my retreat programs is uniquely modulated to its particular location, but every retreat includes dance and laughter as an important part! At my retreats we have daily dance parties where we can sway and groove like nobody's watching! We elevate our frequency together, and these dance parties always lead to laughter… and laughter is contagious!
Through practicing mindful movement and meditation, our bodies are already learning, but I also always include more concrete teachings, tools and techniques that I use in my life to stay physically and mentally healthy!
At my retreat, you’ll learn about different meditation and breathing techniques and their impacts on your health. At each retreat I invite at least one other teacher to share their knowledge so you can connect and ask questions. I believe each person needs their own box of tools to help them on their journey through life, and I want to help my students add to their toolbox!

Her retreats offer more than just the typical yoga and Pilates programming, but a mix or as they say in India, a “masala” of different holistic modalities and techniques in one vacation.
